Chuck is an pioneer in enterprise mobility and has worked many companies to create deploy and manage their mobility strategies. Chuck is currently serving as an Executive Director at frog design and as an Executive in Residence at Great Hill Partners, working on acquiring and rolling up several leading companies in the enterprise mobility industry with focus on cloud infrastructure, security, and next generation enterprise App workflows. Prior to Great Hill Partners, Chuck founded Apperian in 2009, and has spent five years working with Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Bessemer Venture Partners, North Bridge Venture Partners, and Intel Capital to build Apperian into a market leader in Mobile Application Management (MAM) product space. As Apperian's founder and CEO, Chuck raised over $28 million in venture capital, led the strategy and development of Apperian's award winning Enterprise App Services Platform (EASE), and built a robust mobile ecosystem of developers, brands, retailers, enterprises and integrators. Prior to Apperian, Chuck was a Director at Apple. There, he held world-wide responsibility and led two multi-billion dollar divisions first in education and then formed Apple's enterprise team. Chuck led the launch of the iPhone in 2007 into the enterprise and managed Apple's iPhone Enterprise Beta Program working closely with Fortune 500 CIOs to think beyond the Blackberry and into the App world. Chuck also served as Apple's executive lead, working directly for Steve Job's, to bring his vision of 1:1 (one laptop per child) computing in education to life by deploying the State of Maine's 1:1 Laptop Program. Prior to Apple, Chuck founded and sold two technology companies. Chuck understands how to create, deploy, and manage products and teams in both the startup world and within multi-billion dollar corporations. He lives in Boston with his wife and three college age boys and loves to travel for both business and pleasure.
